7th - 12th of September 2009
Opening International Center for Sustainable Excellence and Lecture program
The International Center for Sustainable Excellence (ICSE) in Eindhoven opened its doors on the 7th of September. Lectures and presentations will be held especially for the opening week. Inspiring lectures will be held on the 10th of September in the theme of Architecture & Design. Simone de Waart (Material Sense) will give a lecture about the role of materials for sustainability. Click here for the program.
The ICSE will be the first Center in North West Europe that shows visitors, participants and users how knowledge and skills in the field of sustainability will together shape our future and allow them to experience sustainability in a wide perspective and with the help of concrete examples (showcases) from trade and industry, universities and researchers, and social organizations. The center gives an insight into a new world where respect, trust and openness form the new central idea.
See, feel, experience
The center shows in numerous ways the current status in the field of sustainability. It not only shows how products can be applied, but also shows how these products are made and what processes are needed to establish them. The center is used by individuals, institutions and corporations who are looking to renew their corporate strategy by taking responsable steps into the new economy, for example: corporate social responsability and sustainable development.
