Square Bamboo Table by Stijn van Woerkom
Bamboo is strong and can grow 1.5 meters a day. It is lightweight and
exceptionally durable. Although Bamboo is a good alternative to
hardwood, this material is not often being used due to the difficulty
of working with the round-shaped culms.
However, by cutting the round edges on 4 sides a workable and standard building material can be obtained.
This table shows only one of the many possibilities for the use of square bamboo©, in this case combined as a composite with epoxy resin.
