Lecture seminar Food For Future
The seminar "Food for Future" was organised to support innovation in the food industry in the South of the Netherlands. Simone de Waart was invited to speak by Food Connection Point and Design Connection on what materials can mean to the food industry. Newly developed food concepts were presented and the lectures gave insight into future possibilities. After lectures by Van Rijsingen Frozen food, The Restaurant of the Future from Wageningen University, SVT Branding from Amsterdam, De Waart closed with the lecture "Food, ingredient for inspiration and innovation". To trigger possible use by industry of new materials, and to find new ways of looking at colour and texture of food products we use in daily life. (the picture shows ingredients produced by Huijbregts). The experience was completed with a buffet by food designer Annelies Hermsen in cooperation with Maison van den Boer.
