Hard materials aims getting to know more about the world of plastics (‘hard and soft’ knowledge). Through practical research by doing experiments and understand and analyse outcomes. Knowledge is gained on industrial production techniques, also by factory visits. The aesthetics of plastics is investigated in and finally also learned how to communicate experiments and design (create a design vocabulary).
