New materials and innovative products originate from existing knowledge and creative problem solving, thus education is needed to supports a profound basis. Our goal is to inspire and create awareness of materials and get acquainted with their performances in a playful, explorative and sensory way. We advocate the choice of materials as a starting point of the design process.
We like to encourage a creative approach using all our senses to implement associative thinking and include experiences to fuel innovation processes. Our trainings are backed up with methods and ranges from one day workshops and masterclasses formats to full courses for educations and made to measure in-house trainings for companies and institutes.

In this interactive sessions sustainable materials innovations in the building sector were explored and analysed. Sensorial experiences and stories of manufacturing, (local) sourcing and reuse were axchanged. The teams shared awareness, ideas for application and needs for future applications of newly to develop materials for circular buildings. The interactive sessions were part of a full "Day of Circularity", inspired by keynote speakers from the field.

Within the leadership program for direct managers of NXP, Material Sense organized an interactive sensorial connectivity event. We combined preparing food together, hands on making, and challenging questions related to leadership and connection to enhance team spirit and allow informal contact between participants.
