materialisation mediation office

The wonderful open air school by architect Van der Tak in Amersfoort has been turned into an office for a mediation practice. Material Sense looked after the entire materialisation. We have designed the entire space with biophilic design pirniciples in mind. The enormous windows created the fluidity between outside and inside, enhanced by the large print of autumn and spring leaves. The current use of the building askes for high level acoustics solutions. We have created various atmospheres according to the different functional uses of the mediation tasks within the separate spaces, with emphasis on the overall sensorial experience. All materials, such as textiles and the different flooring materials are selected by production in a sustainble manner and where possible, materials have been reused and the environment is designed in a way it contributes to an overall healthy work space.
