building fence for De Willem

A temporary new fence for a renovation of building 'De Willem'.

This particular flex-lving and working space by housing corporation Woonbedrijf required a fence as striking element for the building situated at the corner of a lively neighbourhood. The question was to find a new way of communicating the message of the flex building while connecting the neighbourhood. We introduced wooden panel facades that provides the 'peep through' possibility for curious passengers and combined it with screens of pictures of different individuals and cultures living and working in the neighbourhoud and by combining them as a new family. the construction supervisor said; "i have never seen such a sweet fence, and I have seen many in my professional career'. We worked in close cooperation as team, Mooniq Priem, Bianca van Rooij, Wikke Peters and Simone de Waart.
